TCPA Consent Disclosure
Effective Date: September 30, 2026
ShopRates uses this page to explain how we may request your permission for calls and text messages about a financing inquiry, how to stop marketing contacts and where to find our privacy practices. Reading this page or browsing the site does not by itself authorize calls or texts. The consent language displayed when you provide a phone number controls the specific request you are making.
When we may contact you
If you submit an inquiry and choose to provide the required permission, ShopRates and the parties clearly identified at that point may contact you about your request and, if expressly covered by your permission, about related financing options. Contacts may include calls and text messages. The disclosure next to the form identifies whether automated dialing technology, artificial or prerecorded voice, or other covered methods may be used.
Who may contact you
ShopRates may work with independent financing providers or service partners. Before you authorize marketing calls or texts, we will identify the parties or an appropriately clear and accessible list of parties covered by the permission requested. A provider introduced after you submit may conduct its own communications under applicable law and its own disclosures.
How permission is requested
Where written permission for marketing calls or texts is requested, the form will present a clear disclosure next to the phone number and submission control. The form will identify who may contact you, the subject of the messages and any covered automated or artificial voice methods. You are not required to agree to marketing calls or texts as a condition of purchasing property, goods or services. If an optional marketing checkbox is offered, it will be unchecked until you choose it.
We retain a record of the consent request shown, your action, the date and time, the number entered and the page where permission was requested.
Message types and frequency
Messages may concern your inquiry, a request for missing information, a provider introduction or financing options within the scope shown when you agree. Frequency varies with your request and provider follow up. Message and data rates may apply to texts. If ShopRates runs an ongoing text program, the form or enrollment message will state the actual frequency or “message frequency varies,” the sender, HELP instructions and opt out instructions.
How to stop calls or texts
You may ask a caller to stop marketing calls or texts in any reasonable manner. For texts from a particular sender, reply STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL or UNSUBSCRIBE, or use another clear opt out request. You can also contact ShopRates through the Contact page to request that ShopRates stop its own marketing communications.
A request to ShopRates may not automatically reach a separate provider; contact that provider as well if needed. We will honor applicable opt out requirements and route requests to parties under our control as required.
A one time confirmation text may be sent when permitted to acknowledge a text opt out; it must not include new marketing content. To get help with a ShopRates text program, reply HELP if that function is supported, or use the Contact page.
Effect on your inquiry
You can still review educational content if you do not agree to marketing contact. Whether an individual financing provider can process an inquiry without certain communications depends on its process and the contact choices offered on the specific form. Withdrawing marketing consent does not automatically cancel a pending application or prevent transactional communications that are otherwise permitted.
